Attend tax credit training for service-providing staff

ST. PAUL, Minn. (12/15/2008)—Tax refunds are a boost for low and moderate-income households, providing them money to pay bills or save for future needs. “To Your Benefit: Tax Credit Training for Service-providing Staff” will provide information about federal and state tax credits, free tax preparation sites, free tax education and promotion resources; and increase staff knowledge on how to encourage those eligible to file tax forms. The training does not train people to prepare tax forms.  The training will be available in two formats at no cost to the participant, but pre-registration is required.

Jan. 8, 2009 - Training will be offered at the Minneapolis Urban League, 2100 Plymouth Ave. N. in Minneapolis, from 1:15-3:30 p.m. Space will be limited.
