Leave a comment by February 29th answering the following question and you will be entered into a drawing to win a community organizing book for your community.

“What Horizons moment has given you the most joy, hope or fulfillment?”

But wait, there’s more! The community that logs the most comments will also win Chamber Bucks for use at a community event! We will only count one comment per person, but feel free to share as many of your thoughts as you’d like.

Winners will be notified on March 1st, which is also when next month’s contest will be announced.

Good luck and happy blogging!

I believe our community has benefited greatly from the whole program, but I personally have received the greatest fulfillment from attending the Leadership Plenty train-the-trainer workshop. I learned a lot and it was great to share that curriculum with our community. Thanks!

    From Kathy Black in Fertile:
I would have to say my horizon Moment was when I saw the Hand-to-Hand project on our blog. Great job!

Also the team leadership was a great learning experience for me.

  4. Karen A. - Chisholm Says:

I believe the Horizon’s event in Chisholm that gave me the most “hope” was the event call the “Action Forum”. This was where all our Study Circles came together to decide what was next. At this point, we did not have enough people for our Leadership Plenty requirement and any further action would be “on our own”. When members of our Study Circles heard this, they rallied. “We had come too far to let this hard work end now.” They wanted Chisholm to be able to “press onward” and we did. We met our Leadership Plenty requirements and continued on the journey! That “rally” from those in attendance of our “Action Forum” gave me HOPE for our community.

  5. Heather Says:

For me it was the Visioning Meeting. I was pleasantly surpised by the level of participation, the inspiration, and the motivation generated by this event. It was the perfect kick-start for our community projects; too bad it wasn’t the first phase of the Horizons process.

  6. Clara Says:

I think the best part is that at all of our meetings, leadership trainings, or activities there is always a moment when you look into someone’s eyes and see a spark of excitement over what their community can be. And what’s even better is that I can look in the mirror and see it in myself.

  7. Marketa A-Chisholm Says:

I have had fun with all the horizon’s events I have been involved with. But I have to say I enjoyed the leadership plenty I met a lot of new people that I would not have met otherwise.
